The common daisy of our lawns, along with yarrow and dandelion cause annual annoyance to those that like to have a pristine piece of turf to mow.
JIM BRADY found 19 yellow coltsfoot in bud and flower last week in Prescot, and, at Whiston, found common daisy and dandelion in bloom, and a length of hawthorn hedge already in flower.
ATHE common daisy starts flowering in March and can make an informal lawn look pretty until October.
