1. the sense by which sounds are perceived.
2. audition; the capacity to perceive sound.

color hearing  a form of chromesthesia in which sounds cause sensations of color.

color hearing

The imaginary perception of colors in response to the actual perception of sounds. Also called pseudochromesthesia.
