closed loop

capillary loops  minute endothelial tubes that carry blood in the papillae of the skin.
closed loop  a type of feedback in which the input to one or more of the subsystems is affected by its own output.
loop of Henle , Henle's loop the long U-shaped part of the renal tubule, extending through the medulla from the end of the proximal convoluted tubule. It begins with a descending limb (comprising the proximal straight tubule and the thin tubule ), followed by the ascending limb (the distal straight tubule ), and ending at the distal convoluted tubule.
open loop  a system in which an input alters the output, but the output has no effect on the input.

closed loop,
a biologic feedback system in which a substance produced in the body affects the mechanism that causes its own production.

in most species the small intestine is arranged in a series of indefinite open loops. In ducks and geese the loops are closed, finite structures, five to eight in number, and are located more or less in fixed positions. The supraduodenal loop is one of them.
