clean pasture

clean pasture
pasture that has been rested from grazing by the same, or parasitologically similar, species for a long, but variable period, the time depending on the parasite concerned and the climate. The pasture rarely if ever becomes completely clean, but it should be relatively so in terms of being a source of infection.
