The research team led by Tasuku Honjo, a professor of molecular biology, found that a phenomenon called class switch recombination -- a genetic conversion allowing the production of antibodies by an immune cell -- can be induced in other types of cells if a special gene called AID is activated.
According to the team, class switch recombination is a phenomenon in which B lymph cell, a type of immune cell, converts a portion of its genes to produce a different type of antibodies in response to external stimulus.
For example, in a process known as class switch
recombination, immune cells called B cells rearrange their DNA.
SAFARI C3 is the only totally integrated carrier class switch
that incorporates -- at no additional cost -- all of the components that make up the PacketCable(TM) voice switching infrastructure, eliminating the need for operators to purchase, maintain, upgrade and regression test separate Call Management Servers, Media Gateways, Record Keeping Servers, Announcement Servers, Signaling Gateways, Ethernet Switches and CALEA servers.
