Indian madder

Chinese medicine
A perennial that is haemostatic, purifies blood and increases cardiovascular tone; it is used for amenorrhoea, postpartum uterine bleeding, internal haemorrhage, hepatitis, liver toxicity, kidney stones, and cancer.

Also called
chitravalli, dyer's madder, majeeth, manjista, or
manjit.
