Women are four times more likely to exhibit symptoms of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and Chemical Sensitivity than are men.
A food or chemical sensitivity will literally "die down" and no longer cause symptoms if the food or chemical is abstained from for a period of 3-6 months, and only ingested once a week or so from then on.
Chemical sensitivity, which may be medically diagnosed as multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS), is characterized by adverse reactions to common chemical substances, such as those in pesticides, new carpets, fresh paint, synthetic building materials, cleaning supplies, and fragranced products (Ashford & Miller, 1998).
