Any of the modified sudiferous glands producing a waxy secretion and situated in the external auditory canal.

ceruminous gland,
one of a number of tiny structures in the external ear canal, believed to be modified sweat glands. They secrete a waxy cerumen instead of watery sweat.

Introduction Cerumen is a mixture of secretions produced by the sebaceous and ceruminous glands and substances such as desquamated epithelial cells, shed hairs, and foreign bodies.
They separated the tumors into 4 types: (1) ceruminous gland adenocarcinoma, (2) ceruminous adenoma, (3) adenoid cystic carcinoma, and (4) pleomorphic adenoma.
The cartilaginous portion contains loosely bound skin with numerous sebaceous and ceruminous glands, while the bony portion has a thin skin that is densely adherent to the underlying periosteum.
