cementoblastoma /ce·men·to·blas·to·ma/ (sĕ-men″to-blas-to´mah) a rare, benign odontogenic fibroma arising from the cementum and presenting as a proliferating mass contiguous with a tooth root.

A benign tumor in which cells are developing into cementoblasts and there is a small amount of cementum or cementumlike material at the tooth root.

Etymology: L, caementum + Gk, blastos, germ, oma, tumor
an odontogenic fibrous tumor consisting of cells developing into cementoblasts but containing only a small amount of calcified tissue.
