These have a broad spectrum of activity and include the following drugs Cefotaxine (Biotax, Clazforn, Omnatax), Ceftazidime (Fotum), Ceftizoxime (Cefizox), Cefoperazone (Magnamycin), Ceftriaxone (Cefaxone, Monocef), Cefixime (Cefspan, Topcef), Cefdinir (Adcef), Cefpodoxime (Cepodem) Ceftibuten (Procadax).
The tested antimicrobial agents were: amikacin (30 [micrón]g), ampicillin (10 [micrón]g), carbenicillin (100 [micrón]g), cefoperazone (75 [micrón]g), cefotaxime (30 [micrón]g), cefoxitin (30 [micrón]g), chloramphenicol (30 [micrón]g), trimethoprimsulfamethoxazole (25 [micrón]g), gentamicin (10 [micrón]g), neomycin (30 [micrón]g), netilmicin (30 [micrón]g), polymyxin B (300 [micrón]g), tetracycline (30 [micrón]g) and tobramycin (10 [micrón]g).
