cecitis /ce·ci·tis/ (se-si´tis) inflammation of the cecum.
cecitis [sē·sī′tis] Etymology: L, caecus, blind, blind gut inflammation of the cecum. Also called typhlitis. cecitis inflammation of the cecum; occurs commonly as a part of a general inflammation of the bowel.
