catadromy Life-history pattern that is characterized by egg incubation and early juvenile development in seawater, migration to freshwater for adult development, and return to seawater for spawning.
The book differs somewhat from other general volumes on fish migrations in being a review of anadromy, catadromy, and marine and freshwater amphidromy.
