camisole /cam·i·sole/ (kam´ĭ-sōl) [Fr.] straitjacket; a jacketlike device for restraining the limbs, particularly the arms, of a violently disturbed patient.
Straitjacket
A physical restraint device consisting of a canvas jacket with overly long sleeves topped with leather straps that buckle in the jacket’s back, preventing a violent person from hurting himself/herself or others

camisole [kam´ĭ-sōl]
a device for restraining the limbs, especially the arms, of a violently disturbed person; it consists of a canvas jacket with long sleeves that can be fastened behind the back of the patient. Called also straitjacket and jacket restraint.
