CALCB

A gene on chromosome 11p15.2-p15.1 that encodes calcitonin-related polypeptide beta, which dilates the coronary, carotid and systemic blood vessels. It is abundant in the CNS, suggesting a role in neurotransmission and/or neuromodulation.
