A gene on chromosome 10q26 that encodes a sulfotransferase which catalyses the transfer of sulfate from 3'-phosphoadenosine 5'-phosphosulfate (PAPS) to chondroitin sulfate A, forming chondroitin sulfate-E-containing GlcA-GalNAc(4,6-SO4)-repeating units.
