in equine veterinary medicine, a soft tissue swelling that results from strained tibiotarsal joint; leads to effusion in the joint space and resulting distended joint capsule.

A condition in horses in which lymph collects in the hock joint, causing a puffy swelling.

chronic synovitis of the tibiotarsal joint which causes an obvious distention of the capsule of the joint. Called also tarsal hydrarthrosis.
