any salt containing the HCO3 anion.
blood bicarbonate (plasma bicarbonate) the bicarbonate of the blood plasma, an important parameter of acid-base balance measured in blood gas analysis.
bicarbonate of soda sodium bicarbonate.

blood bicarbonate

Measured HCO3 in the blood. The amount present is an indicator of the alkali reserve and is best understood when comparison is made of the blood bicarbonate, pH, PCO2, and base excess, using the Henderson-Hasselbalch equation.
