blonde fundus

A term referring to a retina that is less pigmented than normal, a finding more common in those with fair traits—i.e., blonde and blue eyed—which may be accompanied by decreased pigmentation elsewhere (e.g., in the skin and colon). While it is usually asymptomatic, blonde fundi may occur in ocular albinism and autosomal recessive oculocutaneous albinism.
