biotin carboxylase

bi·o·tin car·box·yl·ase

a subunit of a number of enzymes (for example, acetyl-CoA carboxylase). It catalyzes the formation of carboxybiotin (on a biotin-carrier protein), ADP, and Pi from ATP, CO2 ,and biotin.
