Subjects were studied by anthropometry (weight, height, upper midarm circumference, triceps skinfold thickness), biochemistry (albumin, prealbumin, and transferrin), and bioimpedance analysis (Human-IM Scan Plus; DS Medigroup, Milan, Italy) according to standard procedures.
