biliary /bil·i·a·ry/ (bil´e-ar″e) pertaining to the bile, to the bile ducts, or to the gallbladder.
Biliary Of bile or of the gallbladder and bile ducts that transport bile and make up the biliary system or tract. Jaundice is the outstanding clinical sign of the condition. The case we described was confirmed by RT-PCR from liver only, because the serum sample was taken on day 6 when viremia is usually resolved and because the sensitivity of cell culture for virus in liver samples is very low (probably because of biliary salts toxicity). |
