Twin pregnancy on other hand tends to prevent torsion, because bicornual
nature of most cases of bovine twins stabilizes gravid uterus (Roberts, 1986).
Compared to bovines, incidence of uterine torsion is reported to be lower in goats due to frequent bicornual
pregnancy (Roberts, 1971; Arthur, 1989).
