Etymology: OFr, baif, open mouth angle

1 any angle, other than a right angle, between two planes or surfaces.

2 (in dentistry) any angle other than 90 degrees between a tooth cut and a cavity wall in the preparation of a tooth cavity. Compare cavosurface bevel, contra bevel.
