Q. What are natural or alternative ways to beat depression? I keep reading about how depression is caused by 'chemical imbalances' in the brain, and it feels like I don't stand a chance at beating it without going on Anti-depressants, but I don't want to go down this route cause I'm worried about the side-effects. A. On the spiritual side, depression can come from repressed anger. To get rid of that is easier said than done. Talking lets us vent our frustrations. Exercise helps you let go as you come away with a new perspective. Anger may come from not accepting things you cannot change. Pride may bring you down becuase you worry what others will think. Forgiveness is the best way let old grudges and hurt go. Let all that baggage go. Get rid of it. Being patient helps us see the other side of things and people. Let go of the guilt from the deep past. Move on. What has happened has gone. Move forward. If you fall down, get up and go again, and again and again. We learn from our pain. We learn from our sufferings.

But depite all these things, I still must take my medicine and keep seeing my doctor and do the very best with the circumstances I have. Be happy with you are and with you already have.

Q. I'm 55 years old .I did holter-heart test, and the finding:once in 24hours-svt-13 beatings in freq.till 152/mi this svt in my auricle. I have got this info.just two days ago, so I still not met a doctor. What I suppose to expect? and what you suggest to do?

A. It means that some pathologic electrical circuit in your atria is producing a rapid heart rate. Depends on the specific type (supraventricular tachycardia encompasses several different conditions), it may be treated with drugs or other therapies.

A. Hi, I felt so when depressed. Later I tried psychotherapists and psychologists and that has really helped me to come out from depression. You need to exercise regularly to keep you fit and healthy. All the best!
