battlement blood smears

    0.04 sec.
battlement blood smears
a method of counting blood cells in which the edge of the smear, where the counting is done, is traversed in a track similar to the silhouette of a castle battlement. It is thought to avoid a biased count due to the greater adhesiveness of some leukocytes and their preponderance at the very edge of the smear.
