Atrial failure A marked decline in late diastolic atrial transport, classically associated with primary amyloidosis, with most atrial filling occurring in early ventricular diastole; ASF has a characteristic transmitral Doppler spectral velocity profile and may presage a poor prognosis in Pts with 1º amyloidosis, possibly due to thromboembolism.
