occupational therapy grip between fingers at the most distal joints.

pinch

a compression or squeezing of the end of the thumb in opposition to the end of one or more of the fingers. An example is the pulp pinch, a type of grasp in which the pulp, or fleshy mass at the end of the fingers, is pressed against the pulp at the end of the thumb. chewing tobacco
