Etymology: Gk, a + syn + taxis, arrangement
any interference with the orderly sequence of growth and differentiation of the fetus during embryonic development, resulting in one or more congenital anomalies. A kind of asyntaxia is asyntaxia dorsalis. See also developmental anomaly.
