A. Hello there. I've had RA for over 12 years. My acupuncturist, who is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine and also an RN and PA, integrates Eastern and Western medicine and I trust her implicitly. We have tried all sorts of different ways to balance my immune system; laser,ozone, UV etc., which have all helped. Contrary to the above report, acupuncture, massage, LOTS of supplements, enzymes and vitamins and a nightshade-free, citrus-free diet have worked remarkably for me and saved me from steroid-pushing rheumatologists. I still ride horseback and do almost everything I used to do before RA, except anything jarring like aerobics or jogging. Most days I don't even take pain meds. It takes time and trying different things to balance your over-active immune system, but it sure beats the alternative. Staying off sugar and dairy helps a lot, too, but I'm too weak to give it up totally. There are very good integrative doctors out there. Keep looking until you find one that will work with you. Goo

Q. What is the way to approach him ending a long marital life by his excessive alcoholism? Ours is a love marriage. We struggled many years with challenging situations before we got married. Now we have been married for the past 23 years. Nowadays he has become very irresponsible due to his excessive alcoholism and I seem to be ugly in his eyes. He has been violent with me on several occasions and kicks our only child sometimes. To add to my problems, he has picked up a new girl friend at his office. Now please guide me as to what is the best way without hurting his feelings to approach him in ending a long marital life which has been married by his excessive alcoholism, not being ambitious or looking towards the future with no common interests?

HELLO THEIR;;;at this point..you should be worried about..you and your child,your husband already knows you might leave,because of his alcoholism..you can not help him...he has to help himself.....and after all he has done to you....you should not be worried about how he feels...if you chose..tell him in a public place....or just leave while he is at work..which is the best way..because then you do not have to go through a lot of drama...and he cant talk you into staying...or get violent......good luck...mrfoot56
