apocrine gland
n.
1. A coiled, tubular gland whose secretory cells accumulate their products on their apical surfaces that are then pinched off to become the secretion, as in the mammary glands.
2. Apocrine sweat gland.

Mature adipose tissue, fibrous tissue, and a few apocrine glands were also present.
When sweat, especially from the apocrine glands (sweat glands in underarms and around genitals), mixes with bacteria on the skin surface, the byproduct is body odor.
Histopathologic study identified a papillomatous hyperplasia of the hyperkeratotic surface epithelium and a large number of underlying mature sebaceous glands, keratin-filled infundibula, small hair structures, and deep apocrine glands (figure 3).
