antihemophilic factor plasma

Etymology: Gk, anti, against, haima, blood, philein, to love; L, facere, to make; Gk, plassein, to mold
blood plasma that contains the antihemophilic factor VIII. It is used to temporarily correct the bleeding tendency in hemophilia.

antihemophilic factor plasma

Human plasma in which factor VIII, the antihemophilic globulin, has been preserved; used to correct temporarily the bleeding tendency in some forms of hemophilia.
