In our patient, chronic arsenic exposure occurred by consuming Chinese herbal antiasthmatic preparations in Hong Kong, most likely between 1956 and 1966.
More research is needed to determine whether the increased bioavailability of inhaled antiasthmatic drugs during exercise is clinically beneficial as evidenced by a decrease in exercise-induced asthma.
The drug classes included for first-dollar coverage are: antihypertensives including beta-blockers, calcium channel blockers and ACE inhibitors; diuretics; antihyperlipidemics; antidiabetics; antiasthmatic agents; antiosteoporosis medications; anticoagulants; platelet aggregation inhibitors; pediatric vitamins with fluoride; and prenatal multivitamins with iron and folic acid.
