anorectal stricture
Etymology: L, anus + rectus, straight, strictura, compression
a narrowing of the anorectal canal. It is sometimes congenital but also may result from surgery to correct an anal fissure or to remove hemorrhoids.

pertaining to, emanating from or affecting the anorectum.

anorectal abscess
see perianal fistula.
anorectal anastomosis
surgical resection of rectal neoplasms may require removal of a bowel segment and subsequent union of rectum to skin.
anorectal stricture
usually secondary to surgical trauma, foreign body, neoplasia or inflammatory disease.
