Clinical laboratory testing is generally categorized as either clinical testing, which is performed on body fluids including blood and urine, or anatomical pathology testing, which is performed on cytologic samples, tissue and other samples, including human cells.
In the third quarter of 2006, we funded Clarient's acquisition of Trestle Holdings' assets to help position Clarient as a leader in the anatomical pathology market.
