aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase

aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase

Any of a class of enzymes (e.g., phenylalanyl-tRNA synthetase) that charge tRNAs with a cognate amino acid.

aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase

One of a group of 20 enzymes each of which is specific for the catalyzation of the linkage of a particular AMINO ACID to its own type of TRANSFER RNA during protein synthesis. There are 20 amino acids in body proteins.
