Q. where would i find support groups for Ex alcoholic people?

A. a hate to tell you this;but there are no ex alcoholics--ther are no ex cocaine/herion addicks. what you are talking about is relapse;in simple terms it is when someone start(or feels like starting),to use drugs after a long time not using--sometimes somesting has or is changing in there life/people in there life that is causing stress/the people that they hang out with---remember to stay away from people/places/things that remind you of using----get a sponsor, this is someone that willhelp you in the AA program.mrfoot56---find a meeting an go-------good luck

Q. i have a ex boyfriend who is 57 i think hes a alcoholic or something or bipolar.. his personality flip flops. well wondering what is causing this maybe midlife crisis .. i asked something is going on... he thinks he's fine.

A. Does he make irresponsible decisions regarding money, job, etc.? Does he have exalted mood? Does he acts dangerously; being sure he can't be harmed?

Personality changes are indeed suggestive of bipolar. If you think he does have bipolar, than consulting a psychiatrist may be wise, since this disease can be diagnosed by him or her and there's a quite successful treatment.

Q. My father must recover for our survival and what can be done to his recovery? My dad runs a medium sized company offering Information Technology services. With the recent global financial recession, he has sustained severe losses and started to drink heavily. He is refusing to take any of our advice and shows violent behavior for the past two days. I am a school going and my mom is not competent to run our business. My father must recover for our survival and what can be done to his recovery?

A. stopping he's deterioration is in his hands only. you can help him take that decision but you can't take over his life and decide for him what is best for him. he must take that decision by himself in order to succeed.
maybe this organization can give you online help about that, i know they use video conferences:
