aerodontalgia /aer·odon·tal·gia/ (-don-tal´jah) pain in the teeth due to lowered atmospheric pressure at high altitudes.
aerodontalgia [er′ōdontal′jə] Etymology: Gk, aer + odous, tooth, algos, pain a painful sensation in the teeth caused by a change in atmospheric pressure, as may occur at high altitudes. aerodontalgia [ār″o-don-tal´jah] toothache experienced at lowered atmospheric pressures, as in aircraft flight or in a decompression chamber, caused by the expansion of air in the maxillary sinuses.
