Acremonium

Acremonium /Ac·re·mo·ni·um/ (ak″rĕ-mo´ne-um) a genus of imperfect fungi rarely isolated from human infection. A. falcifor´me, A. kilien´se, and A. reci´fei are agents of eumycotic mycetoma.

Application of bacterins and yeast Acremonium dyosporii to protect the larvae of Macrobrachium rosenbergii from vibriosis.
Cephalosporins are usually produced semi synthetically from Cephalosporin C (CPC), an important [beta]-lactam group of antibiotic, which is effective against gram positive and gram-negative bacteria and is exclusively produced by a mold Acremonium chrysogenum.
The micromorphologic features of the mold, cultured 3 to 4 days only, resembled a Fusarium or Acremonium species (Figure 2a).
