n.
The excretion in the urine of excessive amounts of acetone, an indication of incomplete oxidation of large amounts of fat, and common in diabetic acidosis.

the presence of acetone and diacetic bodies in the urine. See also ketoaciduria.

acetonuria (a·s·tōnˑ·yōō·rē·),
n condition in which diacetic bodies and acetone are present in the urine. Often found in individuals who are fasting or have diabetes.
