acanthiomeatal line
[əkan′thē·ō′mē·ā′təl] a hypothetical line extending from the external acoustic meatus to the acanthion. In dentistry a full maxillary denture is constructed so that its occlusal plane is parallel with this line. The line is used for radiographic positioning of the skull.
