rofecoxib

A Cox II selective cyclo-oxygenase inhibitor NSAID used for the symptomatic treatment of OSTEOARTHRITIS and RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS. A brand name is Vioxx. This drug was withdrawn from the market in 2004 when it was found that users suffered an increased risk of heart attack and stroke.
