(mē'zĕl), 1. The larva (Cysticercus cellulosae) of Taenia solium, the pork tapeworm; C. cellulosae is less frequently used to designate cysticerci of T. solium.
2. The larva (Cysticercus bovis) of Taenia saginata, the beef tapeworm; the term C. bovis is less frequently used to designate cysticerci of T. bovis.
