(lip'ō-thī'ă-mīd pī'rō-fos'fāt), Name formerly given to the coenzymes of the multienzyme complex catalyzing the formation of acetyl-CoA from pyruvate and involving lipoamide and thiamin pyrophosphate, on the assumption that they were a single compound. See:
