A lesion defined by cytologic findings–cells occur singly or in syncytia-like sheets, ↑ nuclear:cytoplasmic ratio, nuclear hyperchromasia that translate into moderate-to-severe dysplasia–CIN 2 to 3/carcinoma in situ of the uterine cervix–a diagnosis made on histology of biopsied tissue, a precancerous lesion.
