Pressure-induced prolapse of part of the brain into adjacent spaces, which occurs when the brain is under high pressure.
Clinical findings
Coma, paralysis, unilateral dilated pupil.
Aetiology
Head injury, primary or metastatic brain tumour, bacterial meningitis, brain abscess.
Types
