Any of a group of disorders (OMIM:608175) caused by an increased immune response to thyroid antigens, such as Graves disease and Hashimoto thyroiditis.
 
Molecular pathology
Caused by defects of TG, which encodes thyroglobulin, a glycoprotein produced primarily by the thyroid.
