A clinical test that measures hGH secreted by the pituitary gland in response to arginine, which is used to evaluate infants with growth retardation and adults with pituitary tumours.
Ref range
▪ Children—48 ng/ml;
▪ Males—10 ng/m;
▪ Females—15 ng/ml.
Abnormal values
