air pulse sensory stimulator

A device comprised of a flexible tube connected to an air pulse generator, which is used to measure sensory loss in the throat and larynx during fibre-optic endoscopy. It is used to improve the precision of therapeutic manoeuvres, ensure safer swallowing for patients, especially older patients, and reduce the incidence of post-procedural pneumonia.
