Hunting Phenomenon

An auto-thermoregulatory response by a person with hypothermia in which a cold extremity is conserved in the face of prolonged exposure to temperatures < 15ºC, blood flow increased intermittently to the extremities; if the hypothermia persists, the limb loses its blood flow entirely in order to maintain core temperature
