CCL15
CCL15
A gene on chromosome 17q11.2 that encodes a CC-type cytokine, which is characterised by two adjacent cysteines and, as with all cytokines, is involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. CCL15 is chemotactic for T cells and monocytes, and induces N-acetyl-beta-D-glucosaminidase release in monocytes; it also induces changes in intracellular calcium concentration in monocytes, is thought to act through the CCR1 receptor, and binds to CCR3.Segen's Medical Dictionary. © 2012 Farlex, Inc.
